About Cub Scout Pack 1862
We are a Family Pack serving approximately 60 boys and girls in grades K–5 from Cub Run Elementary, Deer Park Elementary, and the surrounding Centreville area. Pack 1862 is part of the Cub Run District of the National Capital Area Council, and we are chartered by the Cub Run Elementary School PTA.
Pack Meetings & Activities
The whole pack gathers on the first Friday of each month at Cub Run Elementary School. Across the year we run:
- The Pinewood Derby
- The Pack Bake Off
- Fall and spring family campouts
- The Raingutter Regatta, Scouting for Food, and other seasonal activities
Dens
Each grade level forms its own smaller group called a den, so scouts work on age-appropriate adventures alongside friends their own age. Dens meet once or twice a month and plan outings of their own.
Where We Meet
Pack meetings are held at Cub Run Elementary School, 5301 Sully Station Dr, Centreville, VA 20120.
Den meetings are arranged by each den leader and depend on what the den is doing that month. Most are at one of our two schools, and some take place at other spots nearby. Your den leader will confirm the time and place.

About Scouting America

They are a long way off for a Cub Scout — but they are part of what your child is joining.
