Scouting for Food is one of Scouting’s most impactful and far-reaching service projects. Even here in Fairfax County, one of the wealthiest areas in the nation, many families still face the challenge of putting food on the table. Our food drive directly supports the Western Fairfax Christian Ministry food pantry, providing vital supplies for over half the year, including during the crucial holiday season. We know how busy our children’s lives are today, with countless extracurricular activities competing for their time—especially on weekends. Scouting is designed to be flexible, allowing Scouts to balance their participation around other commitments. However, given the critical need and the direct impact of this project on local families, we ask that you make Scouting for Food a priority if at all possible. The more families that join in, the greater our collective contribution and the more lives we can touch!
